Our charming hotel is located in the Historic District in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. She was built in 1886 as a luxurious hotel and remained a working hotel until the late 70's.
The Hotel Glenview is our home. And we've been working hard to make it your home, too. We are lovingly refurbishing some guest rooms, a couple of suites and even a couple of furnished apartments. We have two guest rooms and two furnished apartments ready & waiting for you.
We're located just 10 miles east of the Great River Bike Trail in Savanna Illinois (as well as the Mississippi River). As experienced cyclists, we can help plan your cycling adventure. And if you need a ride to and from the trail, just give us a buzz.
Stroll through our historic town with a self-guided tour book developed by the Mount Carroll Historic Preservation Advisory Committee. The architecture is worth the trip alone! Well, that and staying here and meeting us!
There's unique shopping, restaurants, and night caps within walking distance, and the dabluz boutique lives on the first floor! Our town boasts a full service grocery & pharmacy, too.
Just a few minutes away is the Timberlake Theatre -- the oldest summer stock theatre in Illinois.
